Premium Japanese incense is smaller than ordinary incense but has a high concentration of wood. Its aroma permeates and lasts longer. It is made with few natural adhesives and, therefore, breaks easily. The incense stick count varies (140-150) as natural woods are sold by weight (approximately 100g).
