Our love and appreciation for the teas grown in the historic region of Uji in Kyoto runs deep!  The classic character of this amazing handpicked, competition-grade gyokuro is not loud nor ostentatious but delicate and sublime.  A tea which requires patience and time well spent learning about its alluring aroma, taste, and viscosity.  The aroma of the first brew is like the morning fog that rolls in over the Uji River; the taste is a perfect balance of umami and floral, and the liquid is like thick kelp dashi.  Brewing this tea is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon making tea and listening to the rainfall.
